Privacy

Rinlo remembers the meeting, not the recording.

Audio is processed live on your device and by our transcription provider, and is never stored. We keep your transcript, notes, speaker names and meeting details. On the Free plan they are deleted after 30 days. You can delete any meeting, or your whole account, at any time.

Signing in and your calendar

You sign in with Google or Microsoft. Rinlo receives your name, email address and profile picture, and read-only access to your calendar. Rinlo reads your upcoming events to show what's coming up, to title a meeting's note and to name the people in it. Events aren't stored, except the title, time and attendees of a meeting you take notes in, which are kept with that note. You can remove Rinlo's access at any time from your Google or Microsoft account.

Rinlo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't use Google user data for advertising, we don't sell it, and nobody at Rinlo reads it unless you ask us to, for security, or to comply with the law.

Who else handles your data

Soniox turns the audio into text as you speak. OpenAI writes the notes and answers questions about them. Both process your transcript only to give you the service; neither keeps your audio.

Payments on the web are handled by Paddle, our reseller. Paddle receives your name, email, billing address and payment details to take payment; Rinlo never sees your card. Paddle's own privacy notice covers what it does with them.

On iPhone and Android, Pro and extra hours are bought through the App Store or Google Play, which take the payment. Rinlo receives a record of the purchase, never your payment details.

If you allow notifications on your phone, Rinlo keeps a token from Apple or Google to send them, and deletes it when you sign out.

If you turn on Help improve Rinlo, the desktop app sends anonymous usage counts to Aptabase. They never include your notes, transcripts or meeting names.
